Privacy Policy

1. What this covers

This policy explains what personal information Queen City Quotes ("we," "us," "our") collects through queencityquotes.com (the "Site"), how we use it, who we share it with, and how long we keep it. It applies to both Homeowners submitting a project request and Contractors creating a Buyer account.

2. Information we collect

From Homeowners submitting a project request: full name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, project details (e.g., fence type, budget range, timeline), the page you submitted from, and, for fraud-prevention and consent-record purposes, your IP address, browser user agent, and the timestamp of your submission. If you arrived via an ad or campaign link, we also record the campaign source.

From Contractors creating a Buyer account: company name, contact name, email, phone number, NC contractor license number (if provided), and your account password (stored securely by our authentication provider — we never see or store it in plain text). If you add a payment method, your card details are collected and stored directly by Stripe, our payment processor — we do not receive or store your full card number.

3. How we use it

To match a Homeowner's project request with one appropriate, license-checked Contractor; to route and bill that lead to the Contractor; to detect duplicate or fraudulent submissions; to operate the Contractor dashboard, disputes, and billing; to send transactional emails and texts (project confirmations, lead notifications, review requests); and to keep a record of TCPA consent for compliance purposes.

4. Who we share it with

Homeowner project details are shared with exactly one matched Contractor — never sold to multiple competing contractors, and never sold to third-party marketing lists. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We also use the following service providers, each of whom processes data on our behalf:

• Supabase — hosts our database and Contractor account authentication.
• Resend — delivers transactional emails (lead notifications, review requests).
• Twilio — delivers transactional SMS, once configured.
• Stripe — processes Contractor payments for leads. Stripe collects and stores payment details directly; we do not store full card numbers.
• Vercel — hosts the Site, and provides cookieless, aggregate web analytics (page-level traffic counts — not tied to your identity) via Vercel Web Analytics.

We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Queen City Quotes, our users, or the public.

5. How long we keep it

We automatically remove personally identifying fields (name, phone, email, IP address, and consent tracking details) from a project request:

• 90 days after submission, if the request was not qualified or not routed to a Contractor; or
• approximately 18 months after submission, if it was routed and sold to a Contractor.

Aggregate, non-identifying data (e.g., trade, ZIP-level area, budget band) may be retained after that point for analytics. Contractor account data is retained for as long as the account is active, and for a reasonable period after closure for accounting and legal-compliance purposes.

6. Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing privacy@queencityquotes.com. Homeowners can also opt out of further contact directly with the Contractor they were matched with. We will respond within a reasonable time. Some information may be retained where we have a legal obligation or legitimate business need to do so (for example, a completed transaction's billing record).

7. Cookies and tracking

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. We use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless analytics tool that reports aggregate page-visit counts and cannot be used to identify or track you individually. If you arrive via a marketing link, we capture standard campaign-attribution parameters (UTM parameters) in the URL as part of your project request, for our own reporting only.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — including database-level access controls that restrict who and what can read or write your data — to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Site is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
